April is Parkinson's Awareness Month! Researchers are still studying the exact connection between Parkinson’s and hearing loss, but several possible explanations exist. ✅ Both conditions involve nerve cell degeneration due to common factors like stress and inflammation. ✅ Some Parkinson's medications may contribute to hearing loss. ✅ Parkinson's can affect the brain's ability to process auditory information, impacting speech and sound understanding. While not everyone with Parkinson's experiences hearing loss, regular tests can detect changes early for timely treatment. Let's raise awareness and support those affected by Parkinson's and hearing loss. . . . #Parkinsons #ParkinsonsAwareness #CEHGrandHaven
