Event Description: The motorcycle is an icon of American “cool,” a symbol of freedom, rebellion, and the open road. A vital tool, a recreational vehicle, and a staple of popular culture, the motorcycle is a shared passion that encompasses all national, racial, social, and economic backgrounds. American Icon: The Art of the Motorcycle offers a glimpse at the artistry of the motorcycle over the years, through vintage and custom bikes drawn from Muskegon area collections. The display will include motorcycles from Harley Davidson, supplemented with additional unique custom bikes. The exhibition will also feature motorcycle inspired images from Michigan photographers that use motorcycles and the men and women who ride them, as subject.
